I am not sure about you, but I am so excited for Thanksgiving. After all, what’s a better way to indulge and to have an excuse to spend time with family and friends? Because of my rigorous exercise regimen, I let loose on the holidays, but do it the smart way.
On the flip side, if you are fairly new to this healthy lifestyle, Thanksgiving – as well as the rest of the upcoming holidays – may be causing more anxiety and stress than anything else.
Not to fret! You don’t have to be too hard on yourself during this time, but there are some useful eating tips to keep in mind for a healthy Thanksgiving that is both satisfying and fulfilling without going overboard.

Our best advice? Enjoy the holiday! It only happens once a year and there are literally 364 other days that will make more of an impact on your waistline than a few extra slices of pie. The next day just jump right back into your routine – don’t eat more than you usually do or less and definitely make sure to drink water and exercise. A small waistline has more to do with consistency than small bouts of effort. Remember that. And, whatever you do, make sure not to participate in any drastic cleanses or fad “detoxes” as those don’t promote long-term results!
