There’s nothing like sitting down to a delicious burger, right? It’s true, but let’s face it, traditional burgers aren’t exactly healthy, but luckily there’s an alternative that will help you cut down on fat, but not flavor. In the video above, you will see how to make a bison burger recipe that is simply wonderful.
The first thing you’ll want to do is make your spicy aioli! To start, add yolk, garlic, dijon mustard, and tomato paste into a bowl. Whisk together, and while doing so, add olive oil, canola oil, lemon juice, cayenne pepper and salt. Then, set that aside.
Next, sauté the garlic and onions together in coconut oil. Once that’s done, place in a bowl and add the ground bison meat, tomato paste, cayenne pepper, black pepper and cumin.
Then, grill the patties. Just be to sure watch them as they will burn easily due to the tomato paste. Finally, assembly the burger on a leaf of lettuce, add tomato and onions. You can either add the aioli onto the burger, or use it as a dipping sauce.
While bison isn’t a traditional meat that most people use, it’s great for someone who is trying a low-fat and/or paleo diet as it has less than half the fat of beef!
